Get one. Now.
And to start some kind of meaningful conversation:
Do the free runaways count for delay()?
Where to use those free runaways? _________________

Does the LTS stun work even if your LTS misses? Further, do the the Smust stuns delay entangling noodles in the same way the navel ring does? Even further, can we stun multiple times in a fight? _________________ I don't want the news. (I have no use for it.) I don't want the news. (I want no part of it.) At least Princess will be able to hit 10 days and 825 turns now |

Does it? I can't see the 1 in 5 chance of getting a lead necklace worthwhile. _________________ I don't want the news. (I have no use for it.) I don't want the news. (I want no part of it.) I can see me running away from nightstands while opening the ballroom. Ow, hurty!
EDIT: oh, and running away from pesky non-oracle adventures when opening the DoD.

Well, I said "may" Depends on how much you can use the bandersnatch. Bear in mind that the item gives +5 weight, which gives one free runaway per day. In oxy, that alone would cancel the turn cost of the arena fights... |

Is this really as awesome as it appears to be?
A full weight, mainstat-only volley? With combat effects that actually look really pretty useful? And free run-aways? And based on Jabberwocky?
Is there a catch? Well, apart from the lack of hobo/GGG restores or whatever, obviously.

Anywhere that you want to be briefly, but can't handle? V.early Bedroom, for example?

Unless you miss spleen day 3. On the other hand, the additional stats would help for that. So I guess it's at least worth crunching the numbers.
Other possible runaway zones:
- the DoD, at least until you olfact a box dropping monster
- the spooky forest
- SotB
- Hedge maze (yeah well, I guess everything after the battlefield) _________________

I'm also to lazy to check, but sauceror set+ this seems amazing at higher levels (somebody do math to see how high , mostly need soul freeze discharge to be large enough)
Wave of sauce: -23 mp
Jabaņero Saucesphere : +6 mp
Saucegeyser: -40 mp
Jabaņero Saucesphere : +10 mp
Discharge of Soul Freeze: +40 mp
Bandersnatch effects: +20mp, +2 fam. xp
Net MP: +13 MP |

Yeah, but then I'd need to do a half-dozen sauceror runs to perm all that |

Eh, I have most of it, apart from the actual spells, from Stasis days
And anyway, it only works AS a Sauceror, right? So you can buy some or all of it in-run. While that normally wouldn't be worthwhile, casting Saucegeyser at an MP profit seems like it could be worthwhile... |

If the option is to use this over a GGG/Hobo... where will the MP come from? Should I be dusting off my Dandy Lion?
Edit: And for anyone who doesnt have a full scope this saves turns in the tower as well. _________________ tekD != tekR

I'm thinking a couple of turns of starfish stasis will fill up that MP just fine if necessary. But really, spreading volley xp over different familiars is far less worse than doing this with fairies using. |

Looking over the combat effects... turning Shieldbutt into an auto stun and giving it extra damage on subsequent turns seems quite strong...
Cant see an effect for Moxious Maneuver which is a bit of a shame. _________________ tekD != tekR

I don't really use my GGG much anyway (and when I do, it's not for long).
I don't know if I'd use the bandersnatch as any sort of primary familiar, but I can easily get 3 free runaways per day with it, and that's enough to make it a good purchase. |

Yes they do. So you want to use them to run down delay().
Also, anytime you want to olfact something in a widespread area, I'd use it. _________________

| For high ML or just overly powerful monsters, rather than casting noodles then shieldbutting, can use shieldbutt stun, then noodles, shieldbutt to give more rounds of stunned. I really like these combat augimproves. |

Sadly not... but the fact that it's under consideration speaks volumes about this familiar's utility.
Also, very useful early uses of this are outskirts, pantry, tavern, billards room then friars'... all to run down delay(). Ridiculously useful in oxy, of course...
(there's a hojillion other places to use this, too lazy to mark them all down though. another place is farming pirate insults) _________________

So, how does this weight mechanic thing work? Is it determined by base or buffed weight at the point of trying to run away?
So.. if I score a distentegrating spiky collar, can it provide an extra run-away* with the Snatch?
Green snowcones/ candy hearts are looking a bit tastier if this is the case.
*or an extra 2 runaways if you use it at the end of the day and let the buff roll over. |

According to the wiki, yes. It matters what the weight is at the moment you run away. |

Basically just skip a turn anytime you're somewhere where you need something specific (like the Spooky Sapling, or a guitarrr), but don't get the right encounter. |

| When the wiki says the familiar items tune to a certain stat, they mean like those old Crimbo offhands, right? In other words, if a Seal Clubber uses the muscle bird, they won't notice any difference (aside from it being 5 pounds heavier)? |
